Kinetic Control Revised Edition (häftad, eng)

The ability to assess for uncontrolled movement (UCM) and to retrain the control of movement is an essential skill for all clinicians involved in the management of musculoskeletal pain, rehabilitation, injury prevention, and those working in health promotion, sport and occupational environments.

Written by renowned clinicians, Mark Comerford and Sarah Mottram, and underpinned by current evidence, Kinetic Control will assist the clinician to:

• develop clinical skills in the assessment and retraining of the control movement
• use cognitive movement control tests to identify UCM
• identify UCM to guide an individualised clinical management approach
• access a large range of movement retraining strategies
• develop an assessment framework, based on four key factors, to evaluate the ‘site, direction and threshold®’ of UCM and pain-sensitive tissues, and to consider the influence of pain mechanisms and contextual factors
• use a clinical reasoning framework to prioritise clinical decision-making

Based on 30 years’ experience, Kinetic Control is a valuable resource for any clinician wishing to expand and enhance their treatment options for musculoskeletal disorders.

• Introduces the theoretical complexities of movement control impairment including Kinetic Control’s® unique classification and assessment tool and provides invaluable step-by-step instruction on the management of lumbar spine, cervical spine, thoracic spine, shoulder and hip disorders
